During my 15 years experience working with youth, I have come to the conclusion that youth today don't just need activities, they need real relationships. That is why I plan on devoting most of my time building a solid mentorship program for at-risk youth. The R.E.A.L. Youth Ministry vision consists of working with "At-risk" youth in the Cocalico, Ephrata, and Warwick school districts. It is our vision to work on school campus to reach young people, build relationships, encourage, challenge, and mentor at-risk youth. This will consist of, but not be limited to: forming or growing morning Bible clubs (support groups), after-school programs to help youth with studies, start or strengthen mentorship programs, and build a strong community.
After speaking with local government and school officials, there is a growing need to find positive activities and mentors for our youth. One-on-one relationship is the best way to evangelize and disciple youth today. This requires a great deal of time. It is my desire to not only do this myself, but to duplicate myself in others by building a strong mentorship program in northern Lancaster County. If we can find young hearts and mold them to the image of Christ through real relationships, we can make a difference one soul at a time.

My needs are very clear and simple. I need to raise a total of $3,000 per month before I make my career change and start my dream of helping young people. For the past three years I have been working hard to get to this point and am more excited than ever to make this dream come true. I will be taking my passion to the streets and school campuses and touching lives. Once successful here, I want to take what works and expand it to other parts of the county.
